Lee was born in Glasgow and started his training at The Dance School of Scotland where he received a full scholarship to further his training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Lee has starred in several shows at the Pitlochry Festival, performed in the ensemble of Oliver! in the 2011/13 UK Tour and made his West End debut in Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre). Following this, Lee helped originate the part of Peter Arthurs in the world premier of the new musical The White Feather (Union Theatre).

Earlier this year, Lee starred as Tennessee in Yank! and after a sell-out run at the Hope Mill Theatre, this critically acclaimed show transferred to the Charing Cross Theatre in London. Lee’s television credits include Paul in Dear Green Place for BBC Scotland.
