Louise Harvey
Ianto

APPEARING IN WALES AND CAPE TOWN

Louise Harvey, aged ten lives in Rhiwbina, Cardiff with her parents Colin and Sian and younger brother James. She is a fluent Welsh speaker and a pupil at Ysgol y Wern in Llanishen, Cardiff.  She loves singing and playing the piano and has performed with her school choir in a concert in the renowned St David’s Hall, Cardiff.

Her first ever musical was performing the role of Ianto in the Artscape Theatre in Capetown, South Africa in May 2017.

Ianto is an orphan boy, who is really a girl, dreaming of a better life. One of a gang of Water Boys, Ianto spends his days helping the dockers (known as Donkeymen) in return for food and protection from the many dangers they face.

I learnt so much from the cast and production team in my first ever musical in Capetown. My highlight was performing on the night of my 10th Birthday and experiencing a standing ovation with the cast followed by an orchestra led rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ on stage! I now can’t wait to perform the role of Ianto at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff in November

As well as her musical interests Louise loves her team sports which include playing for her local hockey and tennis clubs, and representing Ysgol y Wern at cross country running. She also loves her family holidays - in the summer in Pembrokeshire, West Wales swimming, surfing and sea fishing; and in the winter, skiing in Europe.
